Hey. My friend bought a DSL modem off Ebbay :) and he wants to get it working. He says Netzero offers free DSL service if you have a modem, and I'm inclined to believe him, since they already gave him the software. The problem is, the software doesn't have the PPPoE adapter (I have Bell HSE, and you need a PPPoE adapter for the DSL). So is there any way you guys can find a PPPoE driver for him?

I think there is software called rasPPPoE or something like that, that will do the job for free. Wish I had a link for ya. Also, if he plans on sharing the DSL connection with more than one computer you can get a broadband router that has built in PPPoE support.

I have Ameritech DSL which uses EnterNet300 for PPPoE connectivity, not free though. It works great for a single computer. Again get a router if there will be more than one machine.

Bell HSE uses Enternet300 also. The interface wasn't as good as their older version, where all you had to do was click connect. The advanced settings were hidden in menus. :)

So all I have to do is find this rasPPPoE thing, and it's all good? Thanks!

BTW, it's only one computer.

just out of curiosity, how does your friend get dsl from netzero. I use them on a dial up but I did notice they have an option for DSL in their program.
