Little pesky Mosquitoes

Wow, it seems that Mosquitoes are a million times worse this year. I never remember them being this bad here in Arkansas. I know having tons of rice fields around sure doesn't help but for crying out loud, isn't there something I could do?

What is a good way to keep them away from your door and out of your house when you enter/exit?

 
They do seem especially bad this year for some reason. I sat outside with my girlfriend last night and got bitten three times in about 10 minutes. Time to break out the Deet.
