Little help with CSS coding for website

Take a look here. I want the white part to stretch down towards the bottom of the browser. I've seen this done many times before on other websites but I dont know how to do it.
 
i'm no expert so someone else will prolly have better advice.

the first thing i would try would be to name your tables and use the css to stretch the big one using percentages or something. if that didn't work i'd just shoot myself for using tables.

nah ... this is from some CMS product. I dont have time to make my own so I just downloaded some product off the web. Sitting here trying to tweak it and make it look better.
