Hey all ... I have about $1000 to spend on a high end video card. I am looking at either the the Quadro4 (900XGL), Ti4600 (GeForce4), or the Radeon 9700. I am able to find plenty of comparsions on the latter two but no benchmarks on the Quadro4 in comparsion. I understand that the Quadro4 as nearly the same features of the Ti4600 including the infinty II engine, etc. The question is where could I find a testing/benchmark to highlight the difference performances? ... I do like to play games .. I want something that will kick ass on the games scene and the performance front too.

Thanks for any help

W0W Quadro.. hmm I think the TI4600 will kick the Quadro's ass, but thats a matter of guessing. Umm.. If you want professional level I guess you can get the Quad or I think ATI's FireGL is good.. not sure.. or you always call up square and ask them what they use for their FMV's :D

:) Yeah it depends what you want the card for. 4600 is a much better idea for gaming and no slouch in prof 3D apps. If gaming is the tops you can't beat a Rad9700/9700PRO, but even a GF4TI4200 can play any current game very well in high res with AA on! Here's sopme bms on your options in prof 3D apps:

AcesHW PROFESSIONAL OpenGL cards (3Dlabs-WildcatII&III, ATI-FireGL, nVidia-Quadro2&4 GF4TI4400 GF4MX460 GF2TI)

;) And as for gaming the Quadro's won't get near (though I don't have a bm on that):

If you want a gaming card, 9700 pro, no questions asked, it will demolish anything on the market, including the Quadro. I actually haven't seen it reviewed in professional 3D apps yet, but I would imagine it gets the job done acceptably.
