Im getting a new computer, what do i need to get in order to get the internet, is this right?

- 56K V.92 PCI Modem [+$25 or $1/mo.]
- None
Network Connection
- Integrated Dual High Performance Gigabit Ethernet

( I have comcast highspeed internet on my current computer )

should i buy the modem?

edit: sorry if i wasnt clear, im not getting a router for this computer, im going to hook up the modem to this computer.

No, thats a phone modem. If you already have broadband, and you want to share that connection you need a router.

You need nothing. Well it's possible if it's a clone or off brand there wouldn't be an integrated or PCI network card. Unlikely. Pretty much standard PC hardware these days. You can check with whomever your getting your PC from if you want to be sure. What makes you think you need to buy something additional? Are you replacing and then disposing of your current PC? If yes, then your covered. If not, and you want the existing PC to have internet connectivity as well then buy yourself a router and you'll be done.
