Little confused about something...

I'm getting the Ultra X-Connect modular power supply, it doesn't come with a SATA cable, and their website requires you to fax the reciept and such to get the free SATA cable.

The part where I'm confused is... what do I buy?

I'm getting 2 Samsung 160 gig SATA drives, what cables would I need for this specific power supply?

i think they have molex to sata converters...i'd reccomend getting the power supply from vantec or antec if you are into a modular ps. that ultra looks nice but its quality is not worth the price

What do you mean? If you can get the cable for free, why do you need to buy it?

I can't get them for free, I don't have an avaliable fax machine.

6 inches won't be long enough to reach my PSU will it?

The cable I linked to won't go directly from the hard disk to the psu. It's a converter that you have to attach to a molex.

...unless you intended on modding your PS to add an additional cable. in that case, could you post a guide on how you do it? 😀 I dont' think I ever opened a PS before.

Wouldn't the other side of that connecter go straight into the PSU?

not quite. note the shapes on the converter and the psu. you'll need something inbetween the psu and the converter.
