Little Children (the movie)

I just went to see Little Children this afternoon with my mom - what an amazing movie. The script, the direction, the acting - all stellar. I haven't seen a better film in several years. It seems ridiculous to me that, say, Little Miss Sunshine was nominated for Best Picture and this wasn't - IMO it was a far better film.

Did anyone else (here) see this movie?

I just saw this movie. WOW, is all I can say.

If you liked American Beauty (and who didn't?), you will enjoy this movie. Follows a similar structure - a couple of people living in suburbia, all with their own dysfunctional stories and pasts - looking for new experiences and maybe even acceptance. Stellar acting all around. Doesn't have the humor or highly memorable dialogue & characters of American Beauty but it's definitely a must-see, interesting movie that holds your attention throughout.

Recommended.

just watched this the other night, i cant get that picture of Ronnie at the end of his date out of my mind....very good movie and it was ridiculously good acting by Jackie Haley

I recently saw the Todd Solondz movie "Happiness," which really reminded me of "Little Children," albeit even more disturbing. It's worth a look if you liked LC.

I agree. That was a perfectly decent movie but a little overrated IMO (actually I felt the same way about "Lost in Translation").
