Little car problem

Got a little car problem with a 2000 Hyundai Accent. The little orange lights stay on even with the car turned off. Only way to shut them off is to unplug the battery cables.

Anyone got a clue as to what could be happening?

what little orange lights? Are they on your dash, or do you mean the turn signals on the headlights or something?

did you check and make sure that the headlight control switch is turned to the OFF position?

Do they time out, and eventually turn off, or is there no apparent timeout? I suppose you've checked for shorts in the wire leading to the lamps? Checked to see if there is anything shorting a relay? /me is providing social commentary

This has happened twice so far. Once they seemed to turn off by themselves after a while. I'll wait a bit longer and see what happens.

I suggest taking a look in the owners manual to see if theres a switch or somthing you've overlooked which changes settings for those lights.
