Little Big Planet 2 - Collector's Edition

Haven't really heard much about LBP2 (maybe b/c I've been so focused on SC2 lately), and I while browsing through Amazon, I came across LBP2 CE.

It comes with some pretty unique, nice looking book ends, a sackboy plushie, and some other stuff like costumes.

I had LBP1 but barely touched it, even though it was very well done/polished. I wasn't thinking of getting LBP2, but for some reason, seeing the CE is tempting me to buy it.

Is LBP2 supposed to be a big hit this year? Has anyone kept up with any news about it?
 
From what I've seen, if you liked LBP, you'll love the second, but if you hated the first (like me) you won't find anything you like with the second.

Yeah, normally, CE's don't have very good items to make it worth the extra cost (save Blizzard CE), but this one looks good.

If the book ends have lots of details and are constructed well, then I think it's a pretty good "collector's" item. Plus SACKBOY PLUSHIE!!

I did like the first one, but I just never got into it due to having way to many other games to play at the time.

This usually happens to me around the end of the year when a rush of new blockbuster games come out.

I already have Fable 3, CoD : Black Ops, and now LBP2 CE preordered lol.

Can't tell from that how well it's built, but it shows a pretty good idea of the detail involved. Probably won't be much more than plastic but might still be good enough.
 
problem is, idk about you guys, but I don't think I have any room for those bookends. I do want the plushie though lol. and it would have been nice if more of the costumes were collector edition exclusives, instead of just 2 of them

Right, but it's still a decent amount of DLC. Depending on where you preorder the regular edition you get some of those costumes, but only the CE gets all of them included in the price. I doubt I'll preorder it at all, but it's still one of the better CE packs I've seen.
 
For those that want to know, here's the preorder bonuses you get from each store for the REGULAR edition:

Amazon.com: Ratchet and Clank costumes, plus a new 4-pack of animals costumes
Best Buy: Toy Story alien, plus the same 4-pack of animals costumes
Gamestop: Tron Legacy plus same animal pack costumes

Collector's edition will cost $80 and comes with all of the above, plus Jak and Daxter costumes, the bookends, and Sackboy plush. This is all without a preorder too, but Sony reports the CE will be in fairly limited quantities so don't expect to find it too long after release. For an extra $20 you're getting quite a bit if you're a fan of the game.

Yeah, seems like a good amount of good items for an extra $20.
 
I didn't like the first game very much, but the sequel looks like the game the first one should have been. A lot more than just running from point A to B.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I was excited for the first one and was let down. Sold it not too longer after I bought it. I'm keeping an eye on the second one though.
