Anyone have any experiences with this drive?

Same here, looking to pick one up in the next week or so. $105 at NewEgg.

Opinions? What brand media works best?
 
It looks like a great drive...great specs. I would've gotten one, but I got the NEC 2500A instead.
 
now 74.99 and imnot even sure3 aboput buying it yet.. so confused. and dual layer media is not even here yet! may as well wait 6 months down the road for it prices to plummet to say 44.95 and use the rest of the savings toward dl media 😀
