I recently got a new Liteon dvdrom and after taking it out of the box I could hear things rattling or moving around inside the case. It sounds like screws and springs or something. It's a very weird sound. I tried it out and it works ok but the tray doesn't work very quickly.
I know these are loud spinning up (it sounds like a turbine) but I was wondering if there might be something that could go wrong with it or if they all have this weird sound.
