anyone buy the liteon 12x10x32 burnproof CDRW?

i just had to return a newly bought philips 8x4x32 (from hot deals forum) to staples... had some errors when trying to run setup to install an OS all the while an old creative 4x cdrom could run them...

whoever has the liteon, how are they?

I had a Buslink drive which was just a relabeled liteon (the 12x you're talking about w/ burnproof). I had gotten it at bestbuy and took it back - it was very flaky, at least on my computer at the time (p3-450, 192 meg ram, win95). It wouldn't always recognize blank discs as the correct size, it would only recognize a RW disc about 1/3 the time, etc.

are Acer's CDRWs better then LiteOns?
