Liteon CDRW 16x40 Recording light stays On? is it trashed? help

I tried a lot of things.......looked for Liteon support but seems to be none available. The tray won't open either, looks bad:frown: Anyone deal with Liteon Trouble shooting? Anything might help.........

Friend got the same drive with the same problem. It's dead. He RMA'd it back to Newegg and the new one works fine.
