Is this a really great find, or just a really great find of a crappy cdrw??

I've heard good things about LiteOn, but this price is almost half the price of Plextors, Sony's..etc.
Am I missing something here??

Might try reposting in Hot Deals forum.
And list some particulars like where, shipping info, reseller rating info.
Just look around the Hot Deals forum and see how the other posts are set up.
I am also a new member and have been learning alot in the Hot Deals forum.

I have a Lite-On 24x10x40 and I really like it, no problems thus far. Plus, Lite-On has been releasing firmware upgrades for that burner like mad men, so you are always sure to have the best compatibility and performance.

Now that I have had a taste of Lite-On goodness, I am never going back to anything else.
 
Lite-on is very good. If you need a cd-rw I would go for it over the Plextor's or Sony because of the price. It can do everything that they can, and it's cheaper. Plextor is probably a better drive, but the price difference makes Lite-on the one to go with.
 
i have the exact drive and it works great. burns whole music cds in about 3-4 mins. not very loud at all either. for the price you pay for this burner, nothing will beat it.

I like LiteOn's CD-ROM, not sure about CD-RW, but I assume it should be great too! BTW, where is the link to the item? I'm also planning to buy one.
 
Production recently started on the 32x Lite-On burner so that's probably why the 24x is so cheap. Unless you do a ton of burning, and insist on having "the best," than get the Lite-On.
 
didnt i hear that the 24x is less compatible with....er....something than the 16x and below lite ons?

i just thought i remember hearing that somewhere, i'm probably wrong but just wanted to check

btw my lite on 16x is great, burning debian woody cd2 right now!
