liteon 24x cdrw not being recognized by any programs other than nero

just as the title said. i did a search on this and found nothing. i've updated the aspi drivers to the latest LSI ones. the program in particular i want to use is cdrwin to burn bin and cue files, but my recorder isn't even recognized. i've tried other ones like fireburner, but the demo in that doesn't even recognize. same goes with the latest demos of cdrwin. anybody know what i should do to get it recognized? the nero program that came with the drive works great, except it can't burn bin files worth a darn. thanks.

Nero burns BIN & CUE files perfectly,

Got to FILE>Burn Image> the select your cue & burn away.

Try updating to the latest nero ver too, most bundled Nero can be upgraded to the latest.

What about adaptec 5. Also, nero causes problems when installed with other CDRW software. Remove NERO and try those again. Good Luck.

"Nero burns BIN & CUE files perfectly,"

maybe for some systems, but mine seem to be most troublesome. i've gone through 2 versions of nero, and mine is the most up-to-date one. i tried burning bins 2 ways, via the cue file and selecting "burn as raw data" and that resulted in a disk that was readable with corrupted file contents. the other way i tried it was just with the bin file. i selected "burn as raw data" again, and that resulted in a disk that was not even recognizeable in either of my drives. nero did this as well with my scsi hp 9200i 8x burner on a completely different system, so i'm sure it's nero in general.

" Also, nero causes problems when installed with other CDRW software. Remove NERO and try those again"

i had no problems previously when i had nero and cdrwin coexisting on the same system.

thanks for the input. any other ideas?
