Liteon 24x burning probs with some software

OK, not really probs per se, but here goes.

I am running win2k SP2 and the drive works beautifully with Nero 5.5.3.0 and 5.5.4.0, as well as Discjuggler (latest) However, I have some bin/cue's I need to burn so I tried CDRWIN 3.8E...coasters combined with WRITE errors. Then I tried 2 versions of Fireburner, 1.06 and 2.0.8 (beta)...same deal...coasters. When using fireburner, the drive's LED basically stays yellow instead of the usual RED when it's burning.

I also tried CDRWIN4.0a, and according to Goldenhawk it is supported in 3.8E/4.0A. Same results as 3.8E. Any ideas? I'm using the latest ASPI drivers...I used the adaptec check util to confirm this.

hmm
i havent tried fireburner or cdrwin yet
you can do bin-> cue in nero

just goto File-Burn Image- All files and click on the cue

Try DRWIN 4.0a and tell me/us if it detects your Liteon recorder. For some reason 3.8E sees it, while 4.0a doesn't

Hey, you are right, I CAN burn cue's with Nero. I just successfully burned a cue with Nero 5.5.4.0....385Megs...about 1.2 mins. 🙂)

Bin & Cue files are sort of a gamble with Nero.

I have burned some successfully and others not.

I can't find a consencus on the internet on how do this.

What version fo Nero are you using? I've only burned 3 bin/cue's so far with no probs using 5.5.4.0

Have you tried CDRWIN4.0a?
