Liteon 24102B problems..help please

I picked up a new Liteon 24102B..this one works fine with my Abit ...go figure

Anyone downloaded firmware 5S54 as the drive has 5S07...tried to flash and I get a message to remove disc from drive...this occured and hit ok and tried to falsh and the flash program did nothing...hit ctrl-alt-del and rebooted and liteon seem to work fine

I am using an Abit KR7A-RAID with 4.37 via 4n1 and 3.14 miniport drivers...which interestingly enough Plextor recommends installing if you have problem falshing there firmware on a VIA chipset after disabling DMA

Do I need to disable DMA for the Liteon there website says nothing about this...and how do you disable it with 3.14 miniport drivers...

One more thing this Liteon has annoying problem with ejection..if I try to eject a cd it comes out then gets pulled right back in..if I hit eject while it is spinning back up it will eject and leave the disc out....any ideas
 
Not familiar with the Lite-On. But my Plextor requires that I set jumpers on the drive before updating the firmware.
