I have never heard of this company but they seem to have cheap CD-RWs. Anyone back up their product? Even though its already cheap, where is the cheapest place I can get this at?

Do a search on the forums for it, there are a lot of posts about the drive. Pricewatch.com should give you the cheapest prices on the drive. Many reviews have been posted on this drive, try cdrinfo.com. I personally own one and like it, and have several plextors<----The best, I am using the Lite on in my personal pc

Newegg.com, they have it running for $93 OEM, its an awesome drive. If you want something cheaper, there's an AOPEN 20x ($71), dunno how good that is. But Lite-on's CD-rw drives seem to be AS GOOD as plextor, richo, and tdk's at a way cheaper price.😀

I know the waiting game sux, but i recall reading somewhere that Lite-on was releasing a 32X burner sometime around christmas....Thats i'm waiting for.

I have a lite on 16X and it burns very well, but is quirky when it comes to reading CDs. The 24x got good marks and was only outperformed by the plextor 24x model! The 24x seems like a good deal! Yeah Lite On has a 32x burner coming out! Their website mentions it as upcoming!

Actually, IIRC, the Lite-On outperformed the Plextor, TDK, and the Sanyo...🙂

The LiteOn drives are an excellent value. My next CD-RW purchase will be either the 24x or 32x LiteOn. I have a 12x AOpen, and it works fine, but doesn't fully support the SD2 protection scheme, which the newer LiteOn's do (24x model does, and probably the 32x will also).
