Lite-On Dvd-rom a good drive?

I was looking for a cheap dvd-rom drive, and since there are hardly any good deals on these drives i was just goin to buy one on newegg.com, and the lite-on drive seems like a good choice. The thing is, I currently own a 40x liteon cd-rw and boy is it loud. I need a quiet dvd-rom drive to play cd-r at a decent noise level and that will play dvd's at a respectable level. Would this Lite-on dvd drive seem like a good choice or is there another dvd-rom i should be buying?

My 16X Lite-On DVD is not that loud and it has performed flawlessly.........but then I couldn't complain anyway since it was about $3.17 after the rebate.

I have a lite-on 16x DVD-ROM. It's not loud when playing DVDs (whisper quiet actually), but when it spins up reading CDs it sounds like a small jet engine.

I second that...excellent performer too.

I already had a lite-on cd-rw and it can't read copyrighted cd's so i bought the sony one. Performance for dvd's is not that important for me yet so I was just looking for something quiet that would provide other uses. Thanks for your opinions though.
