Do you think it's worth the extra 129.00 to buy a home dvd recorder over just a regular dvd player?

Hey, you're posting here, so I imagine yes, you do have a PC. Then don't even think about it!
If you want a DVD recorder, get a DVD+/-RW drive that comes with Nero. Then get DVD Shrink. Easy to use, does a great job.

Nero (comes with some drives), and DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter (both free) will be all you'll ever need.
