I recently got a sony external at work and have made several coasters. What I find unusual is that I will burn a fairly full data DVD-R or +R, 40mb free, with EZ Cd Creator 5+, no problems, then will try to burn the same data again, say several hours later. The second DVD will burn right up to 99% of writing the TOC, then bomb out. This second DVD will be unreadable on most machines, including the sony which wrote it. Haven't made any coasters on the first try. Other than that it is a sweet peripheral.

Well, actually, this one is rebadged Sony. But the price range is much better than Sony's. Of course, it is worse than what Lite-On should be!(Less than 200 bucks plz!)

How do you figure that?Lite-On makes thier own drives and sells to other companies that rebadge them.
