Lite-On Cdrw Drives

I've had two Lite-On Cdrw Drives fail what I think is prematurely. One is a 32x and the latest is a 52x. They are both IDE Drives. I got about 70 burns from each and then they no longer read or burn Cd's. Anybody else have trouble with Lite-On? The 52x I got about six months ago.

I've had several LitOn CDRW's and all but one were and still are working just fine. The one that failed was a 52X and it crapped out after about 6 months. I don't remember the model, but for $30 I just Newegg'd another one out the same week and it's been working well.

I have a 52246S that's been working great for roughly a year now, perhaps a bit longer. The only bum CD/RW drive I had was a Cendyne that was a repackaged Accesstek. Crapped out in about 3 weeks. I also have a Lite-On 401025S at work that's gotten plenty of use over the past 12 months +.
