I'm having trouble getting my Lite-On CD ReWriter to work, and I don't know what to do. It loads up in the bios, and shows in the CMOS, but when it gets to windows, it comes up with the drive having problems. I don't know what to do. Also, my Toshiba 16x DVD Drive isn't loading either. If anyone has any idea, or any suggestions, please let me know.

Help him out guys ;) (he is my brother, and kinda new to the AT forums)

He should probably get a little more descriptive so you know what is going on. He was running win2k and used the hibernate mode... well he then powered down the system. When it turned it back on and it booted up it will recognize in the bios and CMOS but when he gets into windows it will only recognize the drivein the device manager but saysthat it is not working properly. It doesn't show the drives in "My computer" section. He has updated theASPI drivers and installed the VIA 4in1 just in case that had any effect but no luck. Anybody have any ideas???

it was working fine before it is just after doing that hibernate that it gave him probs. He has tried switching IDE channels and master/slave and all that and no luck. He has a Abit KT7 RAID mobo if that helps at all. He tried upgrading from win2k to winXP but that had no effect also. He tried the CDRW drive and the DVD drivein another comp and they both worked fine. Any other suggestions????
