Hi All,
I have this lit-on 32x 12x 40x CDRW and it works in my WIN XP Pro computer, but when I put it in my daughter's computer which is running WIN98SE I get the BSOD when I load a CD in it. So I put my lite-on 40x 12x 40x CDRW in her computer and works fine.
Any ideas?
TIA

Hm, my first guess would be,

Try a different firmware,

Different IDE cable...

Does the 98SE meet the sys. requirements..

(i know you said the 40x works) but its worth a shot...

Good Luck :p

Yea I tried many IDE cables. Didn't think about the firmware. I'll give that a try when I get home.
Thanks
