Lite-On 451S DVD Burner coastering DVDs

When I first bought this drive I bought a 50 pack of Memorex DVD+R's with it, and it burned the vast majority of them without a hitch.

I recently purchased a 100 pack of Ritek DVD+R's, and have coastered the first 8 dvd's I have attempted to burn.

I have updated the firmware.

After coastering the Riteks, I attempted to burn one of the free blanks lite-on gives you, and I coastered that too.

Do you guys think its the drive? Or the media? Or what?
