Lite-on 24x problem..

For some reason, I can't find the option to enable DMA anywhere in Windows 2K...I go into device manager and then properties for the lite-on but the option doesn't show up anywhere, just enabling digital sound and the volume level shows up as options. I had the option for enabling DMA in Windows ME but I can't find advanced properties anywhere for 2K. help please? its taking 12 minutes to burn a 700 mb cd..

Under IDE Devices. Enable it there.

Hmm, I checked there and still to no prevail....

I think it's under the IDE Controller device and not the CDR device itself. But I'm not positive. I'm on a SCSI system right now.

Device Manager > IDE/ATAPI Controllers > Primary IDE/Secondary
IDE Channel > Advanced Settings > Transfer Mode > DMA if available >
