is the lite on 16x burn proof? on the specs it doesnt say anytihng about being burn proof.

it's an awesome drive for 80 dollars! i just bought it this weekend and it does have burn-proof. when you start nero, and start burning, it'll say burnproof on it! get it get it!

I think there are two different manufacturers for the Liteon 16x, some are burnproof, some are smartburn. Mine is burnproof. Excellent burner for cheap price.

There is now a 24x Liteon out, fairly cheap, that is supposed to be better at copying safedisc2.

Do a search on Liteon, you will turn up tons of threads.

I've been using the Lite-On 12X CD-RW drive for several months. Burn-Proof Technology right on the faceplace. Burns CD's in 6 minutes or less. No coasters. Been paying $73.00 from Newegg. Last week got 2 of 'em ("refurb") for $55.00 and Free Shipping. Sweet Deal. Greatburner for the money.
