Ok, I recently formatted Windows XP (to get rid of that virus called ZoneAlarm). Anyway, before I did an ME-->XP upgrade with no problems. But after the format, when I attempt to burn any CD, the buffer empties out very quickly, causing Burn-PROOF to kick in often, causing a whole lot of pauses while it fills back up, and terrible burn times. This is no problem for data, except for 15 minutes for a 500mb CD (verrry bad), but music CDs sound terrible with all the errors the pauses cause. I'm using the default firmware and drivers included with Windows XP. Lite-on's site is pretty bad, but I haven't found any drivers for the LTR-16102B model.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's happening.
