I am just posting this to let people know that it is a good unit especially for the price. It is CloneCD and Nero compatible and I have not made a coaster with it yet (out of 30ish) I have been able to burn at full speed without errors.

They do not get alot of press, but I have been very happy with it.

i definitely agree with you. i have one here at work and i am using EZCD creator (cause no one else knows how to use anything else such as NERO). i have probably burned at least 500 CDRs since the end of January 2001. not one error so far or one bad disc. (knock on wood) :)
this LITEON drive has totally earned my respect.

It's not a burner but I purchased a 32x Lite-On CD Rom (Digital
Research brand) 2 years ago and it's the best I've ever had...
(That includes Panasonic and Sony....)

I'll have to agree with you.... Lite-on = Right-on! Far better drive than my Acer 2X2X6 that I paid an arm and a leg for 2 years ago. Burns media that makes my Acer hiccup. :)

I will have to concur, I bought one for my second machine and I must say that I am impressed with it, especially for $95!!!
