Lite-on 12x burner Firmware *solved

Hmm, I don't really know much about the Lite-On CDRW's but I why do you want to update the firmware? If your drive is working ok there's really no reason to upgrade it.

well, you see, CloneCD can't write on it for some reason on my computer. It's not the drive, so something else is wrong, I just don't know what it is
 
Is there another flash utility or do you have to use the Win32 based one? Just curious...

Would it be possible to try to move the drive to another computer and try flashing it on THAT one? Perhaps something in your current computer's setup is conflicting with the flashing software...
 
ok, i found out what was wrong. I got the service pack 2 for win2k getting the via ide busmaster from there. Then I was able to burn it! thanks everyone
