. . . this is my BOOMSTICK!"

You know, I love Sam Raimi, but he pretty much exemplifies the whole debate about multiple DVD versions of the same flick. Take Army of Darkness . . . you've got the standard version that came out a few years ago, with the pic of Ash and the girl on the cover. There's another version of the same, with a picture of Evil Ash coming out of the ground. Then there's the "unauthorized bootleg edition." There's a Director's cut edition, where Ash is lifting both arms into the sky against a red background. And then there's the Boomstick edition, which combines the bootleg edition with the theatrical cut.

I mean, it's a great flick, but does it really deserve five different disks?

PS

Which is the best one to buy? I'm leaning towards the Boomstick edition . . . 😛

You sir, are a dick.

BigJ, it's pretty good then? I found it for 18 bucks at Deep Discount DVD.

For that cheap, go for it. The original ending is the shizzle. Usually I see it for ~$24 and I think thats a pretty good deal. Plus the extra footage and goodies included are worth the extra $4 over any of the other versions.
