Ok, so on April 18th, i contact this JACKHOLE about trading his 1 ITEM for my 1 ITEM plus Cash ($30)

I had more heat than he does, but i agreed anyways to pay the paypal $30 first, then he'd ship his item. And then upon receival i would ship mine.

The guy waits until after i send the paypal, and then tells me something to the extent of, "Hey, i'm going out of town tomorow, i'll try and get it out before i leave"

So i'm like WTF, TRY HARD to get it out tomorow. I write him the next day (since of course, he didn't), and he says "I forgot some of the stuff at my house, so i didn't wanna send 2 packages, so i'll just send it when i get back, but to make up for it i'll ship it 2nd day air because of the delays.

Now that calmed me down a BIT, but then...

THEN, yesterday, i finally hear from him, and he says, "Hey, it's gonna be picked up by UPS, here's the tracking number" And it looks like Ground to me, so i ask him, "Did it go ground? You said you'd ship it 2nd Day Air" and He replies (after 2 e-mails) " i just got your email. sorry if i did say that things are really mixed up here. i gotta catch up on work and finals are comeing up.. sorry again for sending it ground :("

So the damn thing is finally picked up by UPS today, of course ground, and now i get to wait at LEAST another week to receive it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Tell me you agree with me that this guy deserves a Neutral rating. That's god-willing the item is intact and working. But i still haven't gotten it.

Assuming it works fine, what kind of Heat should i leave the dumbass?? (your opinions are highly valued ;-))

EDIT: STATUS UPDATE
so i took rudeguy's recommendation, and e-mailed him telling him how i felt (in a veryy nice letter) and here's teh reply i got:
"well i did say i was sorry. and yes it was hard to send next day air i went and asked.. my f***ing school charges an arm an a leg to send stuff not to mention i live in like east bumbo f*** it was over 8$ to send that ups ground they said something like 27 for air.. i was like are u nuts thats like all the money i have i'm a poor college kid! i did go back and check though. i was going to change it untill i found out the prices :( and again i am sorry for any inconvience. feel free to leave what ever feedback you feel i should recieve."

see, the funny thing is, i still have my product to send him :p damn jackhole

Provided the item arrives okay (works, etc.), then Neutral and with a strong warning. Traders who say things like "things are really mixed up here" are always the ones who end up as trolls eventually. The rule is that you should trade with others as you would have them trade with you. If you can't do that, don't trade.

you both got (er, cant say that for sure yet but im assuming) the items, in one piece, but the other trader fcked up a bit on shipping.. negative would be harsh.. its not like he burned you per se.

neutral with explanation would be good, imo.

People like this are no good. Trading has no excuses, you either do what you said you would on time or you dont.

Remember, it could have been worst. He could have just kept the item and made it hard on you to get your money back.

I'll give a neutral... but i hate traders like this. Of course he should have realized he has final exams and when he was going out of town... so why didn't he take that into account? And is it really that hard or time consuming to get to send stuff out?

What's up with this stupid ebay ratings? Everyone expects that if they actually send the package, they should get a perfect rating. GIVE HIM THE RATING YOU THINK HE DESERVES!!!!

the worst thing, is that he took my money FIRST, and THEN told me he wouldn't ship for a week. that's what pissed me off

thanks guys, he's gonna get a neutral as long as its workin

I would think long and hard about leaving him negative Heat.

I am somewhat forgiving though and would probably let him off with a neutral and an exact explanation and warning to others just as a few others here have already suggested.

I would wait till I get the item and then see. If the item has any problems, then negative, if not then neutral. things do come up in people's lives, I'd explain what happened.

Give him a neutral if you receive the package. I wouldn't leave a negative unless I never got the item...

I agree. At MINIMUM he needs a neutral. You did all the contacting, and he fell through on his end at least twice. once may be forgiven, but not twice. I call that LYING. Lying = Neg. End of story.

I would email him and let him know that you are having problems deciding on what rating to give him, let him know that you did everything you were promised, and he did not. Ask him to refund the difference in the cost between ground and 2nd day. That will give him a chance to redeem himself.

Mr. Jackhole falls into the group of people who don't have the commitment or don't realize that selling/trading stuff takes time and effort. He didn't know that express mail is expensive?

He was apologetic, so if it were me, I'd leave neutral. Definitely not positive because of all the aggravation he caused you.

really? cuz i was gonna leave him neutral until that e-mail. i thought that put it Easy to decide on Negative.

i mean, the guy's saying he didn't have money, even though he took my $30 and he just went on vacation (doesn't sound too poor)
