Listen to "Filter - Take A Picture" and "U2 - Bad"

Is it just me or are these songs a little TOO close in sound? Especially the first minute..

Well before you mentioned it I never noticed that (and I've heard both songs numerous times). I can kind of hear it now, but they really don't have much in common IMO.
