Help me spend some $$.

I need a 939 motherboard. I will be using the 3800 venice, or possibly the 3800 X2. ATI Radeon AIW pro 9800.

Have not purchased the RAM yet or hard drive.

The system will be abused and used. Gaming, video editing, office apps., DVD burning.... you name it.

The case does have a window... so I would not rule out a lan party board for looks.

List your pick, and help me blow some cash!

epox 9nda3j - same as 9nda3+ except no firewire, and you lose the two UNlocked SATA channels too, but they are useless when OC'ing anyway. Now $80.50 shipped @ newegg. Basically this is as good as Nforce3 gets, though you'll have fanboys from other camps screaming at you to get another mobo. Just ignore this and get the 9nda3j. The beta bios for X2 support is out there. We are awaiting the "official" release, but lots are using the beta without problems. When they upgraded the BIOS, they added lots of advanced memory timings taken from the 9npa series BIOS, people have been very happy with this.

$65 bucks at Ewiz, Asrock 939dual-sataII. Great overclocker and future upgrade abilitiy
. Pair this board with a 3800+ X2 and clock to about 2.5-2.6. For memory, pick up 2x1gb crucial value sticks for around $99 each from newegg. Its evidently the same stuff as the ballastics and at hardforum everyone seems to get 250 out of 1 stick and 240 out of the pair.

I just got my Asrock board up and running. No problems so far. So I have to strongly agree with Jagercola, that this is THE board you want

Ok... I went with the ASrock board and the 3800 X2.

I figure I can add firewire.

Now I need to pick up the rest of the goodies.
PS
RAM
Video card (may be pursuaded to move away from AGP) ;)

Can't seem to find the Crucial value ram as mentioned above....

Teh AsEock would be my pick.
