List the games you've bought on Steam but never played

Wow, dude.

I can imagine having a bunch of unplayed $5 games, but your list is crazy. You're spending $20 on games and not touching them?

You haven't played Mass Effect, Defense Grid, Stalker, Civ 4.... I don't even feel like listing all of the great ones.

Why do you buy games? I'm really curious.

Larry Ellison just bought an island for $500M+. Is he going to walk the entire thing? Sometimes it's just about accumulating the toys. Not that I'm advocating. Just explaining. Any game I pay more than $10 for I play. I have a number under that amount that I haven't played.

Portal 2 is the only one I haven't actually played at all, but I've got a ton of games that are listed at zero playtime which are just lies. I played Half-life, HL2, all the episodes, TFC, all that stuff, but apparently the hours tracking doesn't go back that far, because it also says I've only played 1 hour of CS:S which is patently false.

I should play Portal 2.

Forcing me to make this list has convinced me that I may have a problem...Not good with the summer sale starting soon...

Just Oblivion, because I know it’ll suck up 200+ hours of my time like Fallout 3 did. I have to prepare myself for that. :awe:

Many of my unplayed Steam games are from indie bundles picked up on the cheap, and even then with the games I have played I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of those bundles.

I've only made a few direct Steam purchases, and my only unplayed game bought directly from Steam is STALKER: Call of Pripyat.

No.

The prices shown on that list are the current value of those games, not the price that he actually purchased them at. For example, mine shows a ton of unplayed $20 games. I didn't pay $20 for most of those though... I payed $2.50 or $5 when they were on sale.

I have all these games on Steam, and have never played them.

I played Bio Shock and Mass Effect on the Xbox, but wanted to try it out on the PC and never got around to it. I also have about 15 games for the 360 and PS3 that I haven't touched. I won't even mention PS1,PS2, Wii and Gamecube games.

Please play through all the Half Life games on the PC because they are ((( AWESOME )))

I played HL and HL2 back when they were new and I really didn't enjoy them. They turned more into something to complete for the sake of completing.

Aliens vs. Predator
Amnescia: Dark Descent (started it but only played an hour)
Assassin's Creed
Batman: Arkham Asylum (bought on sale because it was supposed to showcase 3dvision well)
COD:MW2 (90 minutes played)
Chronicles of Riddick/Dark Athena
Cities in Motion (45 minutes - seemed good but buggy. May play in the future)
Counter Strike Condition Zero & Deleted Scenes (only bought this to get early access to the CS:Source Beta way back in the day)
Dead Space
Dead Space 2 (bought on sale, might play in future if bored)
Deux Ex: Human revolution (played for 20 minutes, controls are so horrendously bad I couldn't play it)
Dungeon Defenders (played for 30 minutes, didn't really like it)
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (already owned it, bought on sale with Skyrim. Played for several hours here and there but never really got into it)
Empire: Total war (played for 2 hours, didn't like it at all)
Fallout: New Vegas (played for an hour, thought it wasn't as good as FO3)
Far Cry 2 (garbage game, money wasted)
Gratuitious Space Battles (played for 1 hour, couldn't figure out what strategy to use to win, no guides around, shelved for later if bored)
Greed Corp (looked cool, bought on sale)
L.A. Noire (2 hours, crappy console port couldn't get into it)
Legend of Grimlock (just bought it to support the developers, no real interest in ever playing it)
Mafia II (I think I got this for free with a video card or something)
Max Payne 1 & 2 (already beat the originals, dunno why I re-bought them on steam, guess it was free or on sale or something)
Metro 2033 (played 20 minutes- horrendous controls, couldn't play it)
Orcs Must Die (got good reviews, bought on sale)
SimCity 4 (only bought it to get the soundtrack again, I lost my original CD)
Team Fortress 2 (got it with Orange Box, never played it)
Vampire: The Masquerade (heard lots of good reviews about it, but graphics are kind of dated and its buggy)
Warhammer 40k, Dawn of War (bought on sale, might get around to playing eventually)
Witcher 1 & 2 (next on my list to play, looking forward to them)
World of Goo (heard good things about it, but its such a horrendously bad console port it doesn't even run right on my machine - no widescreen or high res support)

Company of Heroes (<15 minutes, figured I would need to dedicate more time to it)
FEAR 3 (technically got this on Gamefly but activated on Steam)
FEAR: Perseus Mandate
HL: Blue Shift
HL: Opposing Force
L4D/L4D2 (<30 minutes apiece, the only ones I know who played it were...well a-holes)
Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum
Civ 4 Beyond the Sword/Warlords (I've played vanilla Civ4)
Unreal 2
The Last Remnant (only 2 hours in, I don't see myself finishing this one, it's a pretty disappointing JRPG)

Doesn't include stuff I bought on Steam but already played, which is all the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, CoD4 & WaW, Fallout New Vegas and Oblivion. I'm still working on "stuff I've bought but haven't finished." Right now that's Dragon Age I (which I need to restart...for the fourth time D🙂 and the STALKER series (half-finished Clear Sky).
