Maybe. It was still a solid movie and I'd recommend watching it. If I want to rewatch the originals, I'd have to borrow a VCR from my parents - I believe they have 1 & 2 on VHS. Though, maybe the plot line was better in 3 compared with 2...
The Other Guys - 1/10 - why do I put myself through this torture? Anything Will Ferrell and Michael Cera is going to suck but I still watch them any way. This had maybe 2 funny scenes in the whole movie.
I liked it. Somewhat clichéd in parts and yeah, pretty slow overall with long pieces with minimal dialogue, but it looked fantastic and I liked many of the intimate scenes (there is a scene where Clooney is building a gun and ammunition that was just a beautiful piece of cinema). This film was very badly misrepresented in the advertising.
Natural Born Killers - 11/10 - This movie has to be one of the best movies ever. It's on Netflix streaming so I have it on while I am doing some work. This movie does not get old. I might have to buy the directors cut which I never have seen (released 2001). Best off seeing it while drinking granted I am 100% sober. This has to be in my top 5 list which includes Pulp Fiction and T2. And by far the best sound track ever. Might as well see it on a good home theater because of the music.
Inception - 10/10 - Just rewatched it since I had another day left on my iTunes rental. Damn it's even better the second time around. I can't remember the last movie I watched where there's virtually no slow down. It just plows through, even the talking/explanation parts are filled with suspense. Too bad the Oscar will probably go to something more artsy/indie. Any 'based on a true story' or biographical movies out this year?

It is too long. Should have been shorter. Having said that. I saw it in theaters twice. The second time because I was on busienss travel and needed soemthing to do at night. Much more understandable the second time around. I have no interest in seeing it a 3rd time though. Maybe it is my age (35), but I don't like to see movies multiple times any more. Unless it is natural Born Killers

I found The American painfully tedious. It looks good (other than the fact that the town is almost entirely devoid of charm) but it's far too slow and, worse, the core plot just makes no sense.
I am just mystified why anyone (particularly a seasoned assassin like Clooney's character) would believe that a high-powered crime cartel would hire him to spend weeks painstakingly building a rifle they could easily buy in an hour on the black market for a fraction of the cost. I also found the interactions with the beautiful hooker girlfriend wildly improbable.
I'll give it a 4/10, and the only reason it merits a score that high is that the cinematography is memorably strong.
Well for starters the story line blew. BLEW. I'm not asking for a masterpiece here Disney, but give me SOMETHING that is remotely tolerable.
Jeff Bridges playing The Dude as Flynn. The whole hippy thing was lame. I didn't get it, nor enjoy it.
The 3D effects were... well... they were fine. Not what I'd expect and want from a 3D TRON. If ANY MOVIE should have been a 3D orgasm, I'd think TRON would be it. It was not. It was "fine" and nothing more.
Did I mention the storyline?
And really? So Clu was HELLBENT on creating a PERFECT utopia where nothing was wrong or out of place, yet his right-hand man was a bumbling idiot and he knew it?
Also, WTF was with the gay Martin Short dude? Lame.
Even above the soundtrack (awesome, but I get it, the guys in the helmets are Daft Punk... I don't need a quick cameo of them 5 times), the sound in the movie was incredible. When the tank things would come into screen, with that low-rumble... shook the whole damned place.
Also no sprites, and no actual use of the rolling tanks disappointed me.
I'll give the movie 6/10 I think. If you were to watch it at home? without the 3D Imax experience? 2/10 I'm guessing.
Pretty much the same as everyone else has said.
Solid movie through and through, though nothing incredibly amazing. Bridges is great as is Jason Bourne... putting Brolin on the marquee though? for his 4 mins of screen time and 5 lines of dialog? I don't get that.
The Box - 7.2/10 - Initially I was worried that previews had given too much away, or that the movie would be slow, but fortunately both fears were unfounded. In fact, one criticism might be it actually hopped around too quickly, never really giving the viewer a chance to try and figure things out. Im glad they resolve some of the overarching mystery, but there are some specific scenes where I am not sure I understand how they connect. Overally I enjoyed it, but it could have been better.
The Other Guys - 7.5 / 10. Awful movie, but I watched it while drinking with a bunch of really close friends and, somehow, we found it hilarious... hence the 7.5 rating.
Get Him To The Greek - 5/10. Had its moments, but it never should have been made. Sarah Marshall is one of the best dumb comedies ever, and this movie was only mildly entertaining.
Tron - 8 / 10. Another movie that sucked, but was amazingly entertaining when you watch it with friends, in 3D Imax. The special effects were awesome, but the movie seemed like a rehash of The Matrix, the Bible, and Star Wars lumped into one poorly conceived plot.
Just watched Salt on dvd last night; it was a pretty serviceable run of the mill spy/action movie that had nothing really special going for it.
Also saw Resident Evil: Afterlife
As the Resident Evil movie franchise progresses, it becomes less and less about humans vs zombies and more about Alice vs Umbrella Corp. I felt this movie didn't flow well:
The opening part in Japan existed only to dispose of the clones, introduce "the Chairman", and revert Alice back to normal humanity again. It didn't really fit in with the rest of the movie, and the Alice + clones potential went completely wasted IMO.

Agreed on the spoiler; I was so pissed when they completely neutered her as it would have been epic to have her kicking ass like that entire film. It became a pretty pedestrian road movie after that.

My favourite movie is Magnolia at 3 and a half hours-ish (or was it just 3?), so length is never an issue for me. Never felt like it dragged for me, so really no complaints.
The King's Speech - 9/10. Colin Firth was brilliant in this as King George VI and I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the favorite for the Lead Actor Oscar. And it'd be well-deserved. Great supporting cast but that should go without saying when you have the usually solid Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter and Guy Pearce.
