I saw the Harry Potter movie as well last night at midnight but I don't watch Harry Potter movies at all so I had no idea what was going on, plus I hate going to midnight showings for anything. Only reason why I went was because my brother had already bought me a ticket. It was really boring to me as I don't like Harry Potter at all. I'll have to watch the other ones some day.

Yeah I was listening to an interview with Jason Isaacs and he was talking about how they did give anything to people who had not seen the previous films/read the books. Apparently it's one of those films where you really must have seen the stuff prior.

I've yet to read any of the books or see any of the films myself, but from how the trailers have been trending I am kind of intrigued. :hmm:

%#}#% cable TV and Internet have been out all day and still out after 1am. It's not just me, either. It's like the whole city.

Jonah Hex: 1/10. The story was totally non-believable and the acting was just awful (with the exception of Josh Brolin - I guess his performance was adequate). Hopefully the next western released will actually be good. I'm hoping for one based on Red Dead Redemption :).

I have a confession. I have never seen Jackie Brown. I am going to try and correct that today. Pulp Fiction is probably in my top 5 movies and I really like most of Quentin's stuff, but I haven't seen this one, yet.

Red Dragon 6/10 - I don`t know,it feels awkward;a good movie but something doesn't quite fit ,that psychobabble dragon thing is just so random.

With Netflix streaming its always a good day for TV.
A month ago they released a shitload of National Geographics and many are HD.

No thanks. Streaming doesn't work for me, and I had my fill of Netflix a couple of years ago. (throttling issues)

Lily Cole is so hot.

Looks around for pontifex's glasses.....
"HOT" not found...attractive...in an odd sort of way, maybe, but NOT hot.

The Haunting in Connecticut 2009
4.5/10
This movie is pretty much just a typical haunted house movie with all the associated cliches. Story is blah, acting is actually pretty good, but, i felt disapointed when it was over.

The Battle of Algiers 1966
9/10
This is the story of the Algerian revolutionary war. It is very gritty and doesn't sugar coat things. It shows the horrors of what both sides have done and doesn't glorify.
The acting is very good and the story is told very well. Amazing movie.

Blah is the perfect word to describe this film.

I've never seen this, but they are showing this as a double-header tonight with F For Fake at a local theatre. I'm tempted to go, but it's a school night...:hmm:

Chloe - 6.5 - Was fairly entertaining. You think it's being predictable but it throws a bit of a curve which made it more interesting but only slightly. Nice lesbian sex scene with Chloe and Julianne Moore adds 1/2 a point.

Spin - 7 - Went in not expecting much but was surprised to find it was pretty good. Sort of derivative of one of my favorite movies, Go! but still a fun watch with several laugh out loud moments. Main girl in the movie is a dead ringer for Amy Smart and was nice to look at.

Megamind - 7/10 A pretty good animated film. Not Pixar, of course, but still entertaining. A bit darker than normal G/PG movies, but funny overall. Will Ferrell was not annoying.

Jonah Hex - 2/10 Awful, just awful. I only half-watched it on my second monitor, but the plot was stupid and the acting was meh. It's like all the really bad parts of Wild Wild West and Ghostrider cut together and made into its own movie. Bleh..

It's very entertaining. Hope you've gotten around to it by now.

I haven't yet, but I've got it in my queue.

Just finished the complete Firefly series which I missed when it was aired. I thought it was a pretty good show, too bad it didn't last. Now I've been bouncing between The Dresden Files and Top Gear.

God, what a terrible movie. The plot reads like something ATOT would come up with. At the very least they could have given the girl monster a set of huge tits to make up for having to watch this god awful film.

For Colored Girls - 10/10 I wish I were a black woman!!!

Wall Street 2 - 7/10 Decent. I liked how they integrated events such as Lehman collapse into the storyline.
