Army of Darkness is better than both Evil Dead movies. What makes Evil Dead 2 odd for me is that in the movie, Ash doesn't seem to recall whatever happened in the first one for some reason. But I believe Evil Dead 2 is the one with tree rape :p.

Nope, tree rape was in the 1st one

Jackie Chan's Kung Fu Master - 7/10 - A bit cheesy but fairly decent. Lots of cool kung fu action.

Killers - 7/10 - the beginning is fairly boring but then gets better when the real action starts. Not really a fan of Ashton Kutcher though.

Green Zone - 8/10 - cool movie, kept me interested.

Harry Brown - 6.5/10 - I want to give this movie a 7, but how many times has the vigilante movie been done? Micheal Caine is the man though, I'd watch him wash his dishes.

Otto Preminger's 1965 classic, "In Harm's Way," starring John Wayne and Kirk Douglas, with a fabulous supporting cast.
Hands down, one of my favorite WWII movies.
(geez I love DVR)

The Sea Inside (Mar Ardentro) - 8/10: A very emotional, tragic film that explores the controversial issue of assisted suicide. Spanish film - very well written script. Javier Bardem is fantastic. Based on a real story (wiki Ramon Sampedro). Highly recommend.

Entre Nos - 5/10: Mariana has just arrived from Bogota with her two children to meet up with their father in Queens. However, the father skips town to Miami promising more money for the family - lies. Without a job, Mariana soon loses the apartment and is forced live homeless scrounge for food and money. Based on a real story - truly depressing.. so much that it left a bad taste.

Repo Man - 4/10: This movie is just bad. Ending was a WTF. The girl was really beautiful... She plays the mom in I Am Legend and Rocket's crush in The City of God (Brazilian I think).

The Last Station - 8/10: - A film that tells a romanticized story of the great Leo Tolstoy's last few months. Essentially it's about love, the love that he has for his wife and the constant struggles he faces preaching his "Tolstoyian" doctrine - which forbids any type of intimacy. It looks like a chick flick but it's well acted and there's enough historical context in the film to keep you watching.... lol

Joe The King - 7/10: A relatively standard, but pretty well done, story of a troubled kid surrounded by a crappy home life and how he tries to survive. It's a little disjionted in parts, but overall it was good. The kids do a decent job and you become quite invested in all of the poor decisions they end up making. Val Kilmer was good too, even though he was only in it for small bits here and there; this was before his head got all gigantic.

Alexandra's Project - 7.5/10: Pretty intense Australian film about a married man, who appears to have a good life, that returns to an empty home after work on his birthday, with a videotape from his wife sitting on the TV. The next hour+ is really just him watching this tape as his wife really deconstructs their entire marriage and lives. It's pretty rough and intense with a lot of WTF moments. I'm not really sure what the message of this film is, though I think I have an idea, but the ending kind of aggravated me which is why I did not rate it higher. This sort of reminded me of Cache, though not as well crafted or as obtuse (or as good of course because Cache is amazing); I seem to really like these types of films.

Yeah I liked this too. I did not know about the whole cult following of Tolstoy and that part of it was particularly fascinating. Quite an interesting story.

Last Man on Earth was more bleak and thus better IMO. Omega Man was too, Moses vs Zombies.

Why does everyone call them zombies in I Am Legend and the other versions of the book to movie?

They were vampires!!

Every movie version of that book has been horrible.

The last one with Will Smith just took the premise and turned it to shit and then lost the whole meaning of the name of the movie.

Kick-Ass: 6-10 - Was a pretty weird movie. I figured it would be but it was just such a strange put together movie.

The Fountain: 5-10 - Again, very weird movie. While I liked it, it was just so weird.

The Crazies: 3-10 - Was worse than I thought it was going to be. I actually had some hopes for this movie but after the first 1/4 of the movie or so it went right into hitting every lame cliche possible.

Titanic: 5-10 - Wow was this the longest damn movie ever. I've never seen it and the wife was wanting to see it again so I got the super duper extended version apparently that was 3 hours and 45 mins long. The secenery was good at times, the acting was alright but it was pretty lame story at times on how people behaved. For example, ships going down, they're playing live music on the deck. I really am having a hard time understanding how it was the number one movie for so long.

Catch Me if you can: 8-10 - Great movie IMO. I've seen it before but my wife never had and wanted to after seeing Titanic. It really is a great story, great actors, and an incredible story that I'm sure was over exaggerated by a large amount.

Survival of the Dead: 5-10 - Meh. Seemed to low budget for a zombie movie by the guy that made the genre. It seems like I've been on the look out something to live up to the awesomeness of the Dawn of the Dead remake and nothing ever come close.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
: 8-10 - Fun movie IMO. I've seen it before but my wife never had so we watched it. She liked it as well. I just love the take on perspective of putting on film how things are happening in the mind like that. Not many movies like it that I can think of.

Repo Men: 6-10: Was pretty much what I expected.

I've been home all week after getting my tonsils removed on Monday (yea, 30 years old and just got that done!) so I've been watching a movie or two a day between being knocked out by the pain meds.

Five Minutes of Heaven - 9/10 - Wow...not quite what I was expecting and very powerful/emotional. This was a very good movie. Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt were superb as each of their characters.

Ok....

Mr. Nobody
I'm not really sure where to start. Unfortunately I don't think it was my cup of tea. It was a beautiful movie, and the acting was very very good, but I came away a bit dissapointed. I enjoyed the message of the movie, but didn't really enjoy the ride. I was confused a few times, and scenes/time periods seemed so long only to change in a split second, and I got bored with it. I had to read up about it after I watched it, and I'm still not sure I understand it.

The Town - 7.5/10

Just watched this yesterday. It was pretty entertaining with great cast, tense moments and great action sequences. Ben Affleck, the director and also the lead role, does an excellent job on and off the camera. Jeremy Renner, was the pick of the group. Rebecca Hall, who has a big role, was meh at best, I did not feel for her at all. Blake Lively's ,although having a very short role, did her part very well. Others played their role accordingly.

I thought the ending was a bit weak, other than that a very good weekend movie.
