He probably, like many people expecting a twist ending, just said "
I bet he's a patient!
" at the beginning of the movie, and then when they find out that is true, feel like they've predicted the entire movie and are the the Nostradamus of the film world. However there is a lot more to the movie than just
"he was a patient the whole time"

I can't say that I think the fact that he was a patient was a secret. It was fairly obvious about half way in. The clues were more like billboards.
Regardless, interesting movie that kept my attention. Like you say, there is a lot more to the movie than just
"he was a patient the whole time"

M-O-O-N that spells Moon! 7/10 (watched on Netflix streaming)

Good Outer Limits episode in movie form. You'll figure out what's going on long before the characters do, but the drama and dialog carries the movie after the (obvious) plot twists are revealed.

There is a movie called, Moon. Is this differnt? The actual titled M-O-O-N that spells Moon! ?

I think I might have to go see inception again. I don't feel like I need clarification for anything, and I don't really care to know the exact specifics of how
each level/limbo works, as I kind of just accept the movie as a whole. But damn I really want to see some of those awesome scenes again. I still can't stop thinking about that tilting hotel fight

Added some spoiler tags :)

It's true that they only said what the tech does and noe how it works. I quite honestly look at what was told about the "machine" and found it 100% implausable. It is a plot device that has to be accepted as nothing more than just that which is fine. It would have been nice for them to delve more into that aspect
but at 2 and a half hours, I can understand why they did not. Perhaps the DVD release will have adirectors cut with more details.

Not really a spoiler... I'm glad they didn't provide details on the machine. It's a simple, foundational element presented to the audience early on, and exactly how it works remains irrelevant. If they tried to explain some "science" behind it, I'm confident it would have been screwed up. Most of the time, when sci fi movies try to explain crazy, futuristic technology, it becomes the equivalent of CGI's uncanny valley -- the moderately educated can identify errors and implausibilities in the explanation, and it kind of taints the whole thing. This way, we're forced to accept its presence and that it works, then move on to the main drive of the film.

In Inception 2 we learn that the machine was built on an island powered by a glowing cave of light.

Lost Highway - 4/10: Damn, I was really looking forward to this after watching Mulholland Dr. a few weeks ago (such an awesome film) but I really could not get into this. I generally like Lynch's stuff, some of it I love, Mulholland Dr., Blue Velvet, and Twin Peaks for example but I never really cared what was happening and had no investment in the characters. Some of the trademark strangeness here does not seem to have a point and is just odd for the sake of being odd. There were some scenes here and there that I liked, but they were pretty few and far between; I also did not find Pullman or Arquette engaging at all, they were wooden and did nothing to engage me. Such a disappointment. Also, this is one of the worst DVDs I have ever seen; the picture quality was shit and the audio was even worse. Maybe there is a better version out there, but this was awful. Bah.

Law Abiding Citizen 5/10 Jamie Foxx sucked in it. Leonidas was not much better.

I'm not convinced Foxx is much of an actor. Can't recall seeing him being good in anything (I have not seen Ray).

What about his impressive work in Miami Vice????

:awe:

Lol, exactly. To me it does not look good that al of his accolades all came from him diong an impression of a guy for 2 hours. Aside from that, what has he done?

He's pretty good in Ray, and The Kingdom is worth a look too. Those are the only two memorable movies I would say...Any Given Sunday = lol though.

Oh yeah, I remember him from that, he was good. Long before any real acting gigs and an Oscar win though. :D

I thought he was exceptional in The Soloist

Inception - 9.5/10 - Great graphics, great acting (besides his wife in the movie, cant stand her accent), great storyline, great ending. I have been waiting a LONG time for a great movie like this to come out of Hollywood. Im SO VERY impressed that it does NOT have
werewolves, vampires, superheros, or 3D.
Will def see it again in theatres.
