One of my favorite movies. I probably watched it with my friend about 20 times when it came out. If you've ever had an office job, you can relate to pretty much everything in it.

He didn't spoil anything. He said main character is carrying a book, that's in the freaking title. The only thing worse than a spoiler nazi is a clueless spoiler nazi.

It was a crucial plot detail only revealed at the end for a reason and he knows first hand how it felt with recent experience. It has no business in a discussion meant to help people find something to watch which they presumably haven't seen.

Edit: I do recall making my sister angry by guessing that detail. I blurted it out again just before they revealed it so she threw something at me and yelled something like "I thought you said you hadn't seen this?!"

The book could have been the last of its kind and written in any language that needed to be translated and copied and everything remains exactly the same. Nobody would have any idea about the connection of the book to the characters until YOU got triggered by a non-spoiler. The language is only a spoiler AFTER you have seen the ending, not before. Or of course until some self-appointed Dudley Doright spoils it by revealing that the language is a spoiler.

What are you talking about? It is a huge spoiler. It makes you think about everything he just did in the entire movie. It's a huge reason as to why watching it a second time is even more awesome than the first. Stop being so god damn obtuse.

His edit improves on the theatrical release.
And he added in deleted scenes plus the exclusive scenes that were in the Marvel movies boxed set.

still dont like the scene where Captain America goes one on one with Ultron.
He takes several shots from him (energy weapons and fists) w/o his shield and was barely hurt.

Get it straight: I wasn't the one triggered by it. That was mikeymikec. I only weighed in to explain why unlabeled spoilers in general aren't OK in this thread regardless of whether the film is 10 years old or not. I only responded to others with the example at hand to support that position. It didn't bother me because I've seen it, but it absolutely is a serious spoiler.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - 7/10 - You have to be a QT fan to enjoy this movie and its wanderings. It could have been edited much tighter but its not the QT way. Brad Pitt's charcter was by far the most enjoyable and Margot Robbie's the least compelling, total waste of screen time and should have been left on the cutting room floor. So many nuggets/nods to his past movies. I was hoping to see some Stuntman Mike from Kurt Russel....... Old Hollywood Cinematography gets a 10/10.
I am looking forward to the Director's cut at what will have to be 3.5hrs.

Zombieland DoubleTap - 5/10 - This was not a well done sequel. Abigail Breslin grown up was interesting as I still think of her as a tween. This was a movie directed at 14yr olds.

The Nice Guys - 5/10 - I need some help understanding this movie, I just didnt get it. Movie just wandered and I really did not like any of the characters. Why does Hollywood shove pornograpjhy and 14yr olds down our throats? I cringed so much for the dialogue and sex scenes with her as Ryan Goslings daughter and it seems so unneccesary to the movie. I give Boogie Nights a 10/10 so I'm not against porn in film at all.

The Nice Guys - 5/10 - I need some help understanding this movie, I just didnt get it. Movie just wandered and I really did not like any of the characters. Why does Hollywood shove pornograpjhy and 14yr olds down our throats? I cringed so much for the dialogue and sex scenes with her as Ryan Goslings daughter and it seems so unneccesary to the movie. I give Boogie Nights a 10/10 so I'm not against porn in film at all.

The Nice Guys shows hints of trying to be an awkwardly convoluted Coen Brothers movie with Shane Black's witty dialog. I think it was deliberate. That's probably why it has porn industry stuff in it like The Big Lebowski. I enjoyed it though Shane Black isn't a master like the 'Brothers.

I am about to finish my run of Seinfeld and it got me thinking I should either start on Malcolm in the Middle, or Curb Your Enthusiasm next.
Have only watched a couple episodes of each. Whats you's guys suggestion?

James Bond: Spectre (LS Cut): 8/10
(Fan Edit of Spectre)

He removed 12min of footage, with the most important being anything that says Blofield is Bond's adoptive brother.

Plotholes that still remained:
- Bond getting out of that torture chair.
- Blofield's men being Storm Troopers unable to hit Bond in an open field with machine gun fire. (Yet Bond with their same weapons mows them down easily at a distance.)

The Nice Guys shows hints of trying to be an awkwardly convoluted Coen Brothers movie with Shane Black's witty dialog. I think it was deliberate. That's probably why it has porn industry stuff in it like The Big Lebowski. I enjoyed it though Shane Black isn't a master like the 'Brothers.

Every time I see The Nice Guys mentioned I think of The Other Guys and wonder what y'all are smoking.

Curb your Enthusiasm is brilliant, but you might burn out quickly just coming off of Seinfeld. Imagine the George/Costanza family stories and anxieties 100% of the time, and amped up. That's all of Curb your Enthusiasm, and it is great for it, but could maybe use some relief between that kind of theme, like you get in Seinfeld.

Malcom in the Middle is great. I know I never saw all of it, maybe handfuls of episodes over a few of the seasons, but I liked it. Just never followed it.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (custom Special Edition) 9/10
(Fan Edit from Hal9000)

He combined the best parts from all the Episode IV editions released.
ie: added extended + deleted scenes, crisper color, Han shot first, removed the scene where Han is talking with Jabba the Hut, etc

One minor complaint:
The jail break scene to rescue Princess Leia seemed worse than the original.
Too much looping of control panels and cameras being destroyed. i thought it was unnecessary.
He could have kept it at just destroying 1 camera and 1 panel instead of looping it 3 or 4 times.

In the past, George Lucas was ok with fan edits of his Star Wars movies.
It looks like Disney is keeping that tradition. (His download link apparently has been up for years after Disney took over.)
