M*A*S*H* (series) - 9/10
After hearing about Harry Morgan (RIP), I watched it through starting at season 4, then rewatched the whole series. Definitely one of my favorites even after four runs, though I'm in the Potter/Winchester camp. Blake wasn't bad, but Burns was insufferable as a character (and brought Hot Lips down with him, she got better once he left). I only feel bad that Larry Linville got typecast for the role.
The Royal Tenenbaums 8/10 - I like Wes Anderson films, don't know why I haven't gotten around to seeing this one yet so I fixed that. It was hard not to think of Bill Murray as Steve Zissou though.
Sneakers - 8/10
Had never seen it and saw it was on one of the movie channels so DVR'ed it. Pretty good. Had a little of everything in it, comedy, drama, suspense. The acting was really good. A bit cheesy at times, but that's to be expected in a movie made in '92. It was funny to see the technology used, compared to today. Ahh, the good old days. lol

Has nobody here seen Killer Elite? I can only find one mention of it in the entire forums. Was it really that bad?
I'm going to be watching it some time later today.

Take Shelter - 9/10
Great movie.
I gather some disliked the ending, but i liked the way it was ended.
It's awful!
Watched this myself yesterday. Really enjoyed it, especially the ending. I don't know why people have an issue with it. Actually, that's a lie. It's obvious that the modern audience needs everything spoon fed to them.

Not bad for $7000. Pausing the video and drawing a diagram of the central concept halfway through helped to make it clear for everyone.
BatB Blu-Ray was excellent.Beauty and the Beast in 3D - I won't give this one a rating because you should know whether you'll like it or not before you go see it. Few adults would purposely go to the theater to see Beauty and the Beast unless they have children or if they're nostalgic about the movie. But here are my thoughts.
First off, 3D adds absolutely nothing to the movie. I've only seen three movies in 3D - the first was Avatar, which was filmed from the very beginning with 3D in mind, and the second was Hubble 3D (a documentary), which featured a fair amount of really cool "flying through space" CGI and worked well. Hand-drawn animation, though? No, it doesn't work. Looks a bit like a pop-up book.
With that out of the way, Beauty and the Beast is a Disney classic. I'm not much of a Disney fan but this is one movie I can enjoy anyway. It's my wife's absolute favorite Disney movie so it was especially fun for her. The movie looks great and it actually made me miss hand-drawn animated movies. All but one of the previews were for CG animated movies and the short film intro was also CG, and as cool as it looks, there's such a thing as too much detail and too much stuff going on at once. Think Star Wars original trilogy vs. prequel trilogy.
