George: You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I can't understand what's gone wrong with it.
Billy: Huh. Man, everybody got chicken, that's what happened, man. Hey, we can't even get into like, uh, second-rate hotel, I mean, a second-rate motel. You dig? They think we're gonna cut their throat or something, man. They're scared, man.
George: Oh, they're not scared of you. They're scared of what you represent to 'em.
Billy: Hey man. All we represent to them, man, is somebody needs a haircut.
George: Oh no. What you represent to them is freedom.
Billy: What the hell's wrong with freedom, man? That's what it's all about.
George: Oh yeah, that's right, that's what it's all about, all right. But talkin' about it and bein' it - that's two different things. I mean, it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace. 'Course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free 'cause then they're gonna get real busy killin' and maimin' to prove to you that they are. Oh yeah, they're gonna talk to you, and talk to you, and talk to you about individual freedom, but they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em.
Billy: Mmmm, well, that don't make 'em runnin' scared.
George: No, it makes 'em dangerous.
Callie Thorne is easy on the eyes, too. That's pretty much the only show I would miss, if I had no cable.Necessary Roughness - I started watching the show with low expectations but I find myself enjoying it, probably cause it has football in the mix. Decent show
Thanks for the tip. Watched it yesterday and even though I know where it was going 20 min in it was a good movie and the ending did vary a little from what I expected.TimeCrimes - 9/10 - One of the best time travel based sci-fi movies I have ever seen. [/IMG]
These are all in my collection. I tried watching Bull Durham a couple months ago and didn't finish it. It would have been my second viewing. Not realistic enough for my tastes. Moneyball I finally saw about a month ago. I thought it easily the best baseball movie I've ever seen. The only game I've gone to in person in the last 25+ years was that last win of their 20 game win streak. The A's looked to be sure losers of that game and they won it heroically, as portrayed in the movie. I was actually out there in the right field bleachers, and yeah, I was looking for myself while watching the movie. However, with one or two possible exceptions all the shots of fans in the bleachers were staged.Oldie but a goodie..
Bull Durham (1988)

10/10
And on a related note...
Moneyball (2011)

7.5/10
Oh yeah, and there's also this.
BTTF Trilogy (1985-1990)

8.8/10
Well, I think it's probably a lot safer nowadays to ride through the deep south on a hog with long hair.Easy Rider 8/10
Kind of depressing. The more things change, the more they stay the same...
I timeshifted the entire Olympics, off the air, none of the subscription stuff. Except for yesterday early morning, I didn't record anything in the early morning hours. I never watch TV without timeshifting. I was able to skip all the commercial breaks. I did this with probably 98% of them, watched a few, maybe once. I still have part of yesterday's programming to watch (I've had to stay away from news to avoid spoilers!). I'll try the closing ceremonies, no doubt skipping portions. That Animal Whatever thing, well, they've been pumping that for days. I especially skip programming hype. And, yes, I too resent the fact that the networks constantly pimp their programming when broadcasting sports (I hate Jim Nance half the time... at least Al Michaels acts like he says it because he has to). It's part of why I do the DVR thing.Olympics Closing Ceremony - 3/10
As if the closing ceremony wasn't bad enough, it was further destroyed by NBC's crappy editing and ridiculous decision to include a preview of "Animal Whatever"
I give that movie the high hat!Miller's Crossing is awesome.

This little mini review of yours has me at episode #6 of the first season so far. I'm really enjoying it!Breaking Bad 10/10: Can a TV show get any better than this? Tight plot, minimal plot holes, and just very well kept together. All characters are well developed and believable. The suspense is amazing most pivotal points. This has to be one of the best drama in TV of recent years.
I am glad someone else appreciated it due to the tip ;-)Thanks for the tip. Watched it yesterday and even though I know where it was going 20 min in it was a good movie and the ending did vary a little from what I expected.
Id say 8/10 as well
