Yeah - agreed. It just seemed more abrupt than needed I guess. Like I said, I don't need everything to be perfect, but some resolution would be nice or at least point me in the direction to where it's headed. But maybe that the point - just utter continuance of absurdity

i tried to watch Elesin Oba The Kings Horseman - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15374214/reference/
currently 4.4/10 on IMDb. The reason is likely the same as my own problem with the film, the film is entirely in Yoruba, an african language. The subtitles only translate the songs, but leave the normal dialogue not translated. And while there are some parts in English, most of the dialogue is unintelligible to the vast majority of viewers.
The story is based on a book called Death And The King's Horseman. Some time during the British colonial period, one the local tribal kings dies, and tradition wants his horseman to commit ritual suicide to guide the king's soul in the afterlife. Elesin Oba is the titular horseman, he enjoys the pre-suicide orgy of sex and food he's entitled to, but when it comes to offing himself, he is hesitant. He's not helped by the local British moustache, who obviously condemns this barbarism and has him arrested.
In shame, the horseman's son kills himself instead, and heartbroken Elesin follows suit.
.. i mean, visually, the film is a spectacle. The acting seemed convincing and pretty damn intense, but not having subs for a language i understand absolutely zero of, i couldn't really tell what i was seeing. It's probably worth a go if you can find actual subtitles, and them mostly for the visual aspect, because the story isn't terribly complicated.

Republican characters played by John Goodman, Alan Alda and Emily Proctor were likeable despite my feeling of utter disgust for Republicans today. Those characters were at least honest brokers despite policy differences.
Alan Alda had a great stance on his effort to remove religion from politics. Love these moments.

Such great casting and acting. I had no take on Martin Sheen before The West Wing. Aaron Sorkin worked magic in The West Wing. I can see it's still relevant.
Yup, I share your view... it is damn near impossible to find Republicans who aren't disgusting nowadays.

Just wow! I breezed through the entire WW in 2006. I'm 100% sure a lot of it went over my head. This was riveting prime time stuff. My favorite amateur critic and my brother recommended it highly. I'm bringing it back into my chamber.

Thought the first episode was very good. In the video game Tess and Joel go after the guy who stole the battery. In the movie they condensed that scene down a bit.
Still a great first episode.

Aerial combat, while not at the level of Top Gun, was still sufficiently good.
First time I saw the widowmaker planes in a movie. Anyone know what other movies feature them? I'm sure I've never seen them before coz I don't remember seeing any plane ever that could fold its wings. Interesting design. Wonder why they didn't improve upon the design.

Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides
This is the first of the series where Johnny Depp carries the film and he does a good job. Penélope Cruz's character is stereotyped as a Latina bitch which gets old fast. The script writers were lazy there. The special effects were good, not as over the top as the previous movie. The plot tripped over itself a couple times but nothing terrible.
I think the writers wimped out when the mermaid pulls the preacher down at the end. The mermaids were supposed to lure their victims and eat them. The last view of the preacher should have been a mess of blood in the water.
Overall, an enjoyable film. 7/10

That is weird, lots of naval aircraft have folding wing designs. Practically any fixed wing aircraft intended to land on a carrier has either a variable sweep or folding wing design.

Watched Enola Holmes 2. The mystery was mediocre but overall I was entertained. I think I mentioned in my Enola Holmes review that Henry Cavill works quite well as Sherlock because he's a wooden actor playing a wooden character. Millie Bobby Brown is quite charming in this role. Even Helena Bonham Carter, who I usually find insufferable, wasn't bad. Perhaps because Tim Burton wasn't involved. At any rate if Netflix decides to keep making more of these I will, for the time being, continue to watch them.
It's possible that I haven't seen them parked on the carrier like they showed in this movie.
They look very odd.

She can play charming, funny roles well but for some reason, I've seen her do more "nutter" sort of roles.

You might enjoy this, the beginning looks fantastic. I pulled WW (all 4 seasons) off my movies shelf and have it in my chamber (bedroom)...
