List operating system in Windows 2000 Active Directory

One of the strangest things about using Active Directory Users and Computers in a windows 2000 enviroment is the inability to list the operating system in a column and then export that list to a .csv file for editing.

Does anyone know of an easy (or hard, I guess) way of listing the operating systems of the computers in a 2000 active directory domain and export that list?

Is the version of Windows stored in Active Directory? I can't remember. If so, you can just use CSVDE and export a report from the command line.

This is not for the faint of heart. CSVDE is an artform all its own.
