Whether good or bad.

Just want a list of things that he got done because he's Obama.

Not random stuff that anyone in his office would have also gotten done.

I'd suggest you get two lists - things he's done, and things he tried to do but was blocked by Republican abuse of the filibuster/obstruction. He should get credit for those.

Obamacare, more spending, more TSA gropings, renewal of the USA PATRIOT Act, Dodd-Frank, increase in the War on Drugs, more protectionism, more inflation, below market interest rates, War in Libya.

In his first 2 years, he wasn't quite as bad as Bush was in his first 2 years, but it's mighty close. Bush did the steel tariff, his DoJ aggressively prosecuted Martha Stewart, he did "Safe Neighborhood Zones" or something like that, he supported the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01, he signed Sarbanes Oxley, Federal Amber Alert system (which I believe was written before Elizabeth Smart was even kidnapped, indicating Bush's Admin was probably behind the kidnapping), the PATRIOT Act, he increased spending and inflation, and he lied about Timothy McVeigh (as well as promoting the myth that the govt didn't want the OK City bombing to happen) being executed. That asshole should be tried for Treason and then enslaved to Americans.

That limitation kind of makes this whole thing too subjective to mean much, doesn't it? The Republicans, for example, are using that as a way to give Obama blame for everything they don't like and not give him credit for the things they DO like. The problem is who's to say what another President would or would not have done or how much personal effect Obama had on various things that happened.

institutionalize fear/envy and class warfare.
LOL. Yeah, because the Republicans didn't spend year after year using the fear of "terrists" to squash any and all opposition, and haven't been using "fear of other" tactics against Obama for five years.

I'd love to see a source for the quote in your signature, by the way. I bet it's BS.

It's actually a fair limitation when done honestly.

In other words, for example, say Obama has an accomplishment of 'few plan crashed while FAA did well'. It'd be fair to say, most presidents (not Ron Paul) would do the same.

It's when it's used dishonestly - like Republicans saying 'any President would have ordered the mission against bin Laden' - that makes it seem unfair.

Bush ordered tax cuts for the rich and war on Iraq, Gore wouldn't. Those are Bush things.

Bush also cut taxes for the working poor. Gore also would've gone into Iraq as Clinton was bombing the hell out of that place and those people without achieving the desired goal of Hussein surrendering. Clinton left it up to whoever the next President was. Don't forget Gore picked progressive neocon Lieberman to be his running mate, defended nation building in the Y2K Presidential debates, and even voted to start the Iraq War.

I'd suggest you get two lists - things he's done, and things he tried to do but was blocked by Republican abuse of the filibuster/obstruction. He should get credit for those.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only if you also give him the blame for EVERYTHING he did not veto. Only then can you maintain a semblence of fairness.

Sometimes you post things you are ignorant on and just make up. This is one of those times, you don't know much about Gore. He would not have launched aggressive war on Iraq. Now, he'd have taken a lot of criticism from those same Republicans - the PNAC crowd who sent a letter to Clinton demanding he launch a war - and we'd have lots of bitching and moaning about the ongoing tyranny there, with some truth to it.

Ya, what a joke.

Wall Street was doing just fine on its own! Never any danger of 'system meltdown'.
what did Obama do about it?

the latest spreadsheets that the Democrats are touting to credit Obama's low spending all attribute the Wall Street bailout to Bush.

The actual quote is:
"Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket," Obama told the Chronicle . "Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers."

bringing Iraq up as an accomplishment seems weird.

I'm glad we're out of that quagmire, but the fact remains that we're only out because the Iraqi government kicked us out. prior to that, there were talks of the Obama administration's plans to leave thousands of boots on the ground in the country.

Then what do you consider the starving of 500k to 1mn Iraqi children if not an act of war? What do you consider Clinton's air invasion of a country that was of no threat to Americans if not an act of war? Also, what am I making up? Just asking:) because Al Gore was another one of those pro-business, pro-war, pro-Federal Reserve Democrats. In fact, Clinton chose him as his running mate because of Gore being one of the most hawkish Democrats and more precisely because he voted for what lead to the Iraq War.

Ralph Nader believes Gore would've been exactly the same as Bush on foreign policy. Gore supported the Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act which was a violation of civil liberties. Nader didn't support it. At least Nader is honest, principled, and not a fucking idiotic, over-confident phony like Al Gore.
