Italy of all places is 45?

I don't know much about the other countries, but from what a good friend of mine (old school Italian teacher), in terms of government that place is absolutely terrible.

I hope so. Uganda is currently one of the most corrupt and screwed-up countries and it's only at 105? Something is wrong.

Edit - yeah - most corrupt is at the bottom. Phew!

lol this list is hilarious, it's not even worth the time reading anything to see who made it.

It is least to most. I believe it has to do with transparency and other such things with government.

Pretty damn sure. Only had to compare Switzerland & India to figure that one out.

<----Indian Dude who sees corruption everywhere out here.

I'm actually surprised to see India & Saudi Arabia on the same level. I've lived 12 years of my life in Saudi Arabia, and the other 9 in India. Saudi Arabia is one heck of a fine-tuned, well-oiled machine. Never seen/heard of someone bribing a cop to avoid a traffic fine or something on those lines. In India, you can buy Witnesses for chump change. Cops for a little more. Public Prosecutors for a little more. Judges for a little extra. Politicians will give you lap dances if you can arrange a celebrity to dance in their family functions.

As for public utilities, you can't even get a water/gas/electric connection for your home without bribing someone. Ditto for government employees who normally get their pension approved long after they have died. This place is f'ed.

I'll give you an example: Around 3 years ago, there was a scandal exposed in the papers. A probe to investigate questionable expenses revealed there were like 300-odd government schools that existed on paper (mostly in far-off places)...but were nowhere to be found for real. The Education Ministry of my state swindled a few years worth of School-Funding. That is f'ed up.

Antigua should be on there. I've heard that the prime minister or whoever owns the entire police force, and there aint much of um.
