List of TeAm Backup proxies......until OK's Official proxy is back up

I posted this in another thread, but thought it would be useful to have on it's own. OrangeKid's Official TeAm proxy has been having some technical difficulties lately. I suspect the load is a little too great on his proxy at the moment, but I'm sure it'll be back up as soon as OK can manage. 🙂

I think I speak for all users of his proxy when I say that we all owe him a debt of gratitude for providing us with this invaluable service, both as a large cache of WU's for when Berkeley goes down, and the all important stats that the proxy provides.

While we wait for things to get back up and running, I'd suggest we try to lighten the load by diverting our current production to the other proxies provided by TeAm members, or straight to Berkeley itself.

Obviously it's impossible to change all clients back and forth, and I would suggest against it anyway for remote clients. This is a temporary solution until our Official proxy at OK's site is back up. However, if you have any clients within reach, and you can easily switch the proxy settings for the next few hours/days, then by all means go right ahead as I would expect this will make it easier for OK to get things back up.

I have a question for SETIQ owners, the TeAm Anandtech FlexInstaller has defualt proxies listed as choices during the installation. We had asked before and so far the 3 proxies listed are OK's, TA Cube and Scarieville. If any other owners want to be included please let me or bot2600 know so it can be added.

TIA

Hehe, Engineer, it's better than what i'm paying for, 64/32! but for some reason my cable modem was given the 512/128 package, which is the top one at the moment here in the UK!

a good way to do it IMO and if you can is to set up your own proxy for remote installs and direct that proxy to whatever other proxy you would like if a main proxy goes down you can "flush" to a different proxy until the main is back up.
