list of resolution/refresh rate supported for S3 unichrome on KM400 chipset

on a sony 19" g420S, i can only manage at 1024x768 85hz. funny thing is when i change it from 32bit to 16 bit i could run it at 100hz. this doesnt make sense.

on my main rig with 4200 i get 120hz regardless of 32 or 16 or 256 colors. both had it set to not display what it cant support. when i unchecked it for the km400 board did not give me more selections, but it did for my main rig.

it has the correct INF monitor drivers, and it the correct video drivers from the cd. via 4-1, etc..

Shared-memory graphics are bandwidth limited. This also limits the available resolutions and refresh rates.

You know that the human brain tires more quickly and reads more slowly when the CRT refresh rate is above 90? Try it out! You won't even want 120 anymore.
