Arod and Jeter are in their prime.

Jeter is no way as consistant as he used to be.
As good as Arod is right now, I think he was a much better player before he came to the Yankees

I disagree about Jeter. Last year, he wasn't. This year he has already had a bunch of big clutch hits, and seems to be hitting for power more. Last year was an off year for him. Arod was the MVP last year, and picked up where he left off.

Mike Hampton - Biggest waste of $15 mill this year.

Braves could use that for a closer and some more bullpen help.

Hmm...I only see 5. But who's counting? :p
Yeah I forgot about Pettite. That's what happens when you go on 3 hours sleep, hehe. But you may as well blame the Yanks for Pettite's way overinflated salary, he would have never gotten that kind of deal without the Yanks first overinflating his value. ;)

:D Yah. I still can't help thinking of Pettitte as a Yankee either. Well, at least the Yanks are getting some performance out of their five/$100M players so far this year. Not dead weight/cash like Hampton and Bagwell. Chan Ho Park? How much did that contract suck?

Quality southpaw starters are not easy to come by. Pettitte was great as a Yankee.

Isn't he still getting paid by multiple teams? I don't think the Braves have to burden the entire $15 mil.

So this begs the question, who is really worth what they're getting paid on that list? I think maybe Manny, Pedro and Randy are worth the $$. ARod should not make that much I'd value him at around 20. Jeter shouldn't be making more than Manny, he simply doesn't put up the stats to support such a salary, leader or not.

Bonds maybe worth it off stats alone, but this year I would question that due to his dilapidated body (and Bags).

Is his contract still going from when he was with the Rockies? If so, then it's understandable. Nobody wants to pitch in Colorado for a living, unless it's for a huge salary.
