I've used FreeTaxUSA for the last 2 years and have had no problems. It is free for federal filing and $10 for state filing, which I think is pretty standard. I E-filed with them on the 15th this year and got my state return on the 23rd and federal on the 24th.

been using quicken taxcut since 1999. been happy. they also archive your old files in online valut.

Thanks... I went TaxCut and got through it with $12.95 for the state and $0 for the federal efiles. I didn't hunt around for more coupon or deals at that price .

Edit: It was nice to scheduling my Federal payment for 4/15/2006! Now I just have to make a note of it so I don't forget. I used TurboTax (via website) for past two years and while it worked great, this year it was much cheaper to go with TaxCut. TaxCut gets two thumbs up for me in terms of getting the basics done. My only minor complaint is that little arrow to the right could be a bit bigger/bolder but that's about it.
